The Magic of Friends

Live Laugh Love.

with Antwan Towner
Have you ever thought about what makes you call someone a friend? I do all the time. In the age of Facebook and "Friend Requests" the term friend gets tossed around very loosely. "They are my friend... on Facebook".

What makes a friend? Is it their looks, is it how they talk, or how they think, how they feel and love. Maybe it's their passion for things, people and life. Perhaps it's their listening ears or availability to you physically, mentally, and spiritually. It could be all of the above.

To me a friend is a like minded person. Someone to have things in common with and an opposite point of view for contrast, culture and wisdom. Conversations, thoughts and ideas are shared with no judgment and forgiveness is constantly being exercised.

To me I know someone is a friend when I haven't seen or talked to them for weeks months or sometimes years and you can pick up where you left off the last time you saw them. A real friend transcends the boundaries of Facebook and other internet social media connection hubs.
Friends call each other and hang out.

What dose this have to do with magic? Absolutely nothing. I can only write so many things about magic and performing. If however we look at magic as a feeling and not so much a thing or action. Then having a close friend or best friend is extremely magical.

When you are around a person long enough you can easily ride the same frequency and the relationship will becomes somewhat telepathic. At times you'll know and understand the persons just as well as you understand yourself.

So think about the people you call friends. Think about how they make you feel and do you reciprocate that feeling? Next time you see your friend or best friend tell them that you appreciate their place in your life and thank them for their friendship.
